Learn to draw what you see. Use line, tone, shading, proportions, perspective, grid, and study composition. Learn how to use pencil, charcoal, pen & ink, soft, oil pastels, and colored pencils.
PAINTING
Students learn how to use watercolors, gouache, tempera, acrylic, and oil paint. Mix colors, create different tones, apply gradation, model the subject matter, and make the painting stand out.
FIGURE DRAWING AND PORTRAIT
Students work from black-and-white photos and use shading pencils or charcoal. Drawing exercises range from gesture studies to poses.
Learn how to draw portraits through learning about facial proportions, development of depth, light, and shadow, and capturing a likeness in portraiture.
Adult
BEGINNERS ART
Students learn the basics of drawing, shading, scaling, proportions, and composition. They learn different drawing techniques and enhance their interest in fine arts.
PAINTING
Learn how to use watercolors, oil, gouache, and acrylic. Specific exercises will be practiced to raise your level of painting skills. Color mixing will come into play, and awareness of composition, as well as various texture applications.
